Moore State Park is a hidden gem in Massachusetts! Originally home to grist and sawmills in the 18th to early 20th century, Moore State Park is now a great place to visit and explore!
Located in Central Massachusetts, we have been here a few times and I am in love with the stone mill foundations, the beautiful flowers and the gushing waterfall!

Location of Moore State Park
Located a 1 Sawmill Road, in Paxton Massachusetts, Moore State Park is off of Route 31. As always, we rode the motorcycle here and enjoyed mostly back roads. There are, of course, direct routes, such as Route 122 to Route 31.
There is also a small parking lot. Get here early, especially if it is a beautiful spring or summer day, as the parking lot fills up fast!
What To Do In The Park
Moore State Park has many acres of beautiful land where you can picnic, view the waterfall and cascades, smell the beautiful flowers and enjoy the beautiful gardens.
There are several hiking trails and scenic views. It’s a perfect place for family picnics, photography, nature walks, sitting and relaxing, or reading under the canopy in the Adirondack chairs!
You can also canoe, kayak, boat, fish, and hunt. So, pack a picnic, bring a blanket, your camera, and enjoy an afternoon in the park!

What Not To Do In The Park
There is no alcohol allowed in the park, also, dogs are not allowed, other than service dogs. Be sure to clean up after yourself, leave no trace!
