Ride Guide Massachusetts – Four Scenic Rides You Need To Take!

Ride Guide Massachusetts will take you on four of our favorite rides in the state! Massachusetts is our home state, and we are excited to share our favorite rides with you. Whether you ride on 2, 3, or 4 wheels, these rides will give you a glimpse into the beautiful state of Massachusetts!

QUABBIN RESERVOIR

The Quabbin Reservoir is a popular scenic ride, and we love it. We take this ride several times a year, and especially love it in the fall!

There are several areas to stop at and explore. Depending on what you like to do, you can walk, hike, fish, have a picnic, and visit the observation tower. The views are amazing!

After ridding here, we like to stop at The Stone Cow Brewery in Barre, for some amazing BBQ!

o

CAPE COD

Cape Cod, the cape, as we refer to it, is a beautiful, scenic tourist spot. The cape is made up of several towns and villages. It is a great place to explore, shop, eat, beach, and so much more!

The summer months on the cape are very busy, we try to make our rides there either in the spring or in the fall. There are over 18 lighthouses on the cape to explore and visit, and you can see several on a day ride!

One of our favorite places to visit on the cape is Provincetown. Commercial Street is a great time. There are plenty of restaurants, stores, and entertainment!

o

WESTERN MA – MT GREYLOCK & THE MOHAWK TRAIL

This is one of our favorite rides because it takes us out to the mountains! Western MA is very pretty, and the Mount Greylock auto road is a very nice ride! This is also the ride that we saw our first and second black bears on!

Mount Greylock’s auto road is very scenic, with a few spots for pulling over and taking in the views, and of course, picture taking! Head up to the summit and see the Veterans War Memorial Tower, it is beautiful!

The Mohawk Trail is also an amazing ride, with long swooping roads and beautiful scenery! New England’s first scenic road, The Mohawk Trail, opened in 1914. There are many places to pull over and enjoy the scenery and explore.

o

WAREHAM-PLYMOUTH

The ride to Plymouth is so pretty, being by the water is just a bonus! Known as America’s Hometown, Plymouth is like the little sister to the cape, with lots of shops, restaurants, and touristy things to do! Founded by the Mayflower Pilgrims, Plymouth is also home to the first Thanksgiving Day feast!

Also, like the cape, Plymouth can attract large crowds, so for us, we prefer to go in spring or fall. We love to stop and sit by the water, watch the boats, and have some yummy food!
